About the Role

A leading global pharmaceutical company is embarking on a major SAP S/4HANA transformation and is seeking an experienced SAP Solution Architect with deep expertise in Warehouse Management (WM) and Materials Management (MM).

This is a key architecture leadership role, responsible for shaping and owning the end-to-end SAP WM/MM landscape as the organisation modernises its core ERP platform. You will play a critical role in defining the future-state architecture, ensuring scalable, compliant, and business-aligned solutions across a complex global supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the solution architecture for SAP WM and MM within a global S/4HANA transformation programme
Define target-state architecture, roadmaps, and design principles aligned to business and IT strategy
Drive design decisions around S/4HANA migration, including WM strategy (e.g. WM to EWM considerations)
Partner closely with business stakeholders across Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Procurement
Ensure integration across SAP modules (e.g. SD, PP, QM) and non-SAP systems
Govern solution design to ensure GxP compliance, data integrity, and audit readiness
Provide architectural oversight during build, test, and deployment phases
Act as a trusted advisor to programme leadership, systems integrators, and internal teams

Required Experience & Skills

Proven experience as an SAP Solution Architect on large-scale SAP programmes
Strong hands-on and architectural knowledge of SAP WM and SAP MM
Direct experience with SAP S/4HANA transformations or migrations
Solid understanding of global supply chain and warehouse operations
Experience working in regulated industries (pharmaceuticals, life sciences, medical devices preferred)
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
Ability to lead design authority and make strategic architecture decisions
