Demand Planning SME (SAP IBP Business Process Lead)

About the role:


We are seeking a Global Demand Planning SME to join our Centre of Excellence at a global medical device business. You will play a key role in strengthening our supply chain by building global demand planning standards, shaping technology investment priorities, and enabling our planning teams to support long-term business growth.

Success will be measured through improvements in forecast accuracy, customer service, inventory performance, and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide expert leadership in global demand planning and inventory optimization.

  • Lead SAP IBP and SAP S/4HANA demand planning design, testing, and implementation.

  • Standardise demand planning processes across business units and regions.

  • Collaborate with Supply Chain Leads to drive consensus forecasting.

  • Act as liaison between supply chain, IT, and external partners.

  • Train and support planning teams on IBP and best practices.

  • Analyse demand planning KPIs and drive continuous improvement.

  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging supply chain technologies.

Skills & experience:

  • 5+ years working with SAP S/4HANA (demand planning focus required).

  • 5+ years with SAP IBP for demand and inventory optimization.

  • Skilled with Planner Workspace, Analytic Stories & Fiori apps.

  • Ability to translate technical concepts for operational teams.

  • SAP Analytics Cloud experience preferred.

  • Strong leadership, collaboration, and change-management capability.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred).

  • Proven experience leading system implementations in a global environment.

  • Strong analytical skills and stakeholder management ability.

  • SAP IBP or SAP S/4HANA certification is a plus.
